The Little Sisters of the Poor – Holy Family Home has been serving the low-income elderly since its founding in 1869. Holy Family Home values the sanctity of life, and encourages a comforting environment for each of its residents. Holy Family Home offers top medical care for its residents, with doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers readily available on site. It also offers several occupancy choices to accommodate residents in all levels of health. Their facility holds 30 independent living apartments, 22 private care rooms, and 44 skilled nursing care rooms.
The residents of Holy Family Home enjoy the various recreational programs offered at their facility, including arts and crafts and musical entertainment. They also enjoy daily interaction with guests and volunteers.
The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia has awarded The Little Sisters of the Poor – Holy Family Home a $12,500 grant to assist in the purchase of a new heating system for its facility. This new system will ensure lower fuel costs for the home due to its innovative technology, and will provide their residents with warmth in the coming winter months.
